This is five days trekking combined with cultural tours for those who want to enjoy trekking in Himalayas. We can make it for three to four days trek as well. We will pass through the village at Genekha, follow Small River through the dense temperate forest, crossing the pass before we end the trek. We see the best of natures, sometime wild animals like Himalayan bear, panda, squirrels, monkeys and plenty of birds. Lets enjoy the combined tours and treks.

Day 01: Arrival in Paro – Thimphu (1.2 hrs)
On arrival in Paro, HBT representative will receive and transfer to Thimphu by car/bus. Afternoon we will visit the weekend market, Handmade paper Mill, School of Arts and crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Lunch in town. Drive pass by Memorial Chorten (temple) built in memory of the late 3rd King. Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley, Enclosure where national animal, Takin are kept and Zilukha Nunnery. Overnight in Thimphu, altitude 2400m

Day 02: Thimphu- Punakha (2.5 hrs).
Drive through Dochula pass at 3050m. When the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. After a short tea break continue to sub tropical Punakha. Afternoon visit nunnery and walk down to your hotel. Overnight in Punakha, altitude 1350m

Day 03: Punakha halt
After breakfast, we will visit most beautiful Punakha Dzong (fortress). The dzong showcase the finest examples of arts and architecture of Bhutan. Later in the afternoon we will hike to Khamsum Yulay from the foot of the Dzong, through old palace of 3rd king of Bhutan. The entire hike will take about 3 hours. Today is also good day for white river rafting if the group is interested. Overnight in Punakha

Day 04: Punakha – Phobjikha (3 hrs)
Check out from the hotel after our delicious breakfast, we will drive to valley of black necked cranes via Wangdue. En-route we will visit Rinchengang village. Visit Gangey Gonpa and black necked crane center to get better idea and information about this endanger bird of Bhutan which migrates from Tibetan plateau to Phobjikha in every winter. Later in the evening we will visit typical Bhutan farm house or choose to stay at farm house that we offer in Phobjikha. Overnight in Phobjikha. Altitude 2900m

Day 05: Phobjikha – Thimphu (5-6 hrs)
Check out from the hotel and enjoy beautiful nature hike from the Khewa Lhakhang to the Gangtey Gompa. The magnificent trail passes through the pine forest and lechen following small village before taking 30 mins climb from the stream. Our transport will be waiting us at the monastery parking. Visit beautiful Nyingmapa monastery of black mountain region. After this we will retrace our drive back to Thimphu to prepare ourselves for the trekking next day. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 06: Thimphu to Genekha-1 hr -Tueshi (trek start), Distance: 9 km, walking time: 6 hrs
Morning after the breakfast, we will drive to the village of Genekha through narrow farm road, from where our trek begins. The trek begins with steep climb for more than 2 hrs till you reach the pass of Chakula 3200m, which offers magnificent view of the mountain peaks. After the pass, you will follow the ridge for the rest of the day.

Day 07: Tueshi – Shungkula /Cherigang, Distance: 10 km walking time: 5 hours
Follow the ridge for till you reach the pass. Lunch in Japhula pass. After the lunch, the trail is all down hill with magnificent landscape view. As you descent down you will realize how fast the vegetation changes. Camp by the big ground offering magnificent view of the northern ranges of Bhutanese mountains

Day 08: Shungkula – Thimphu (trek ends) Distance: 6 km walking time: 3 hours
Morning enjoy the sunrise view over the mountain peaks, subject to weather conditions. Start slowly as today is the easiest day of the trek. After breakfast descend down through the mixed vegetation, finally reaching the main motorable road of Chamgang village. See off all the wonderful trekking crew and we will head to Paro by car which will take about an hour. Overnight in Paro

Day 09: Paro sightseeing
The day starts with a visit to the National Museum, housed in the Ta Dzong (watchtower). Here, an intriguing collection of artifacts provide a wonderful introduction to the rich culture and heritage of the Kingdom. Just a short walk downhill lays the dominating Paro Dzong, fine example of Bhutanese historic architecture. From the Dzong, the tour crosses Nyamai Zampa, a traditional cantilever bridge, and guests are then driven to the town. Paro options include picturesque picnic spots or, perhaps, a visit to a traditional farmhouse to lunch with the family. In the afternoon, hike up to view one of Bhutan’s most revered monuments, the Taktshang Goemba, more commonly referred to as the “Tiger’s Nest”. The four-hour trek offers spectacular views of this sacred monastery perched on a cliff face 900m above the valley floor. Overnight in Paro

Day 10: Departure
The tour will end today. After the breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Carry smile on your face, eyes with tears and memories unlimited. Tour staffs will bid you farewell at the airport departure gate with the quick prayer of save journey and to see you again in future
